Nepenthe (cali)

Nepenthe is a noisy black metal side project of certain bands from California formed in 2011. Rough blown out lo-fi black metal mixed with synth interludes. This is not to be confused with the band from the 90's that later changed their name to Ligeia. They disappeared as soon as they had arrived with only a self-released 8 song demo tape limited to a mere 30 copies that quickly sold out. There was suppose to be a 2nd tape called "turn to dust" but so far a psychical copy has yet to see the light of day minus a few songs from the bandcamp page that is included in the download.

No Gods, No Girlfriends

No Gods, No Girlfriends is a lo-fi folk punk sing along one man band from Reno. The band consists of only Jawsh from bands Bafabegiya, Young Lions, Disconnect, Pink Black, This Computer Kills, The Rejected, The Shook-Ups, Dick Bob and The Nobs, Tate-LaBianca, The Scurvy Bastards, The Lords of Rad Success and The Spotlight Syndicate. I found out about NGNG back when spacement records was still around, and the name caught my eye. His pseudonym is a play on the popular phrase “no gods, no masters". Being a side project I don't think they (he) did much other than a tour with Bafabegiya, but I could be wrong. He released this LP (which was also counted as a demo) and did a split with Both Blind, which I can't find for the life of me. It's fun stuff check it out you might dig.

Horrid Cross

Horrid Cross is a Raw lo-fi black metal band from Florida featuring members of Divisions, Volcanic Slut and Nazi Dust. The band has released 3 demo tapes so far and a Rehearsal tape that came with a limited edition version of demo III (which i wish i could find a rip of). This is some really rough stuff.

Twin Crystals

Twin Crystals are a lo-fi punk "bedroom synth" band from Canada formed in 2006, they have a good amount of releases but like many of the bands of their style they tend to be rare and always sold out. Members were also in Live Girls, Passionss, Channels 3x4 , Arc, Reflektionss, Cheerleader Camp and Terrorbird.

They gather semi-annually to record their music of blown-out guitars and bass, fuzz organ & vocalist Bunker Wolf's ranting in German. They also all go by fake names.
