1905

1905 was a Politacal Screamo band from Washington D.C. that formed in 2000. Their lyrics address the politics of everyday lives and how the individual plays an important part in the greater scheme of things. These lyrics are conveyed through both female and male vocals. The vocals change between singing and screaming. The music has a distinct feel to it and there is definitely a great deal of emotion poured into it. They toured the United States three times: for six weeks in 2002, five weeks in 2003, and seven and a half weeks in 2004. After the last tour problems with personal issues in the band took their tole, but they held together for two more years before breaking up in 2006. 1905 released a 4 song demo CD, a full length CD/LP called "Voice" on Exotic Fever Records & Amor y Lucha Records and a Split seven inch with Amanda Woodward on Stonehenge Records. They wrote another albums worth of songs but never recorded them and also have 3 more recorded songs but they have never seen the light of day. members of Birds and Wires, Fighting Dogs, Non Grata, & The Scram.

1905 was:
Brian Lombardozzi - bass

The Book Of Dead Names

Book of Dead Names were a Screamo/90's Emo band formed in Minneapolis in the Spring of 1999 by Jamie Munsen and Travis Bos. Within months they had recorded a seven song demo which eventually became a split 7” w/Remingtin: West Fucking Triad as well as a 5” split w/Jerome’s Dream (Witching Hour Records). The releases were followed by a US tour which featured shows alongside the likes of The Locust, Reversal of Man, Combatwoundedveteran and Bread and Circuits. While on this tour, the band also recorded a seven song live set at WFMU which is yet to be released. some time later the band was set to record a final 7” for Blood Of The Young Records, but over the course of a year, BODN changed their minds on the 7” format and agreed to write extra songs, enough for a proper LP release. The album The Story Unfolds was released by Blood of the Young in July 2002. BODN never “officially” broke up. Members of: Song Of Zarathustra, Chariots, The Crush, Infinity Dive, Cadillac Blindside, The Cardinal Sin, Floodplain, Monarques, & Die Electric. This is some really awesome stuff, at times this band reminds me some what of The Crimson Curse.

Elements Of Need was a 90's Emo Hardcore/Screamo band from Philadelphia. As mentioned on my Ink & Dagger & I Am Heaven Posts this is one of the old bands that Eric (of Tim & Eric/Tom Goes To The Mayor fame) was a part of. As some might not know, before he was famous he was really into the hardcore scene. Some other related bands: Ink & Dagger, 12 Tone System, I Am Heaven, Sola, The Science Of, & GoodBye Blue Monday.

Carlisle

Carlisle was a Screamo band from Orlando. they combined melodic, and very catchy music with passionate almost banchee like screamed vocals (with some clean vocals on certain songs as well). In 1995 their prevous band Adversary broke up when bassist Jeff left to be in Reversal Of Man, leaving Ryan, Brain, & Zach to form Rosalind. In 1996 Rosalind broke up and later became the first incarnation of Carlisle. As a band Carlisle only released two 7"s and a few compilation appearances. A discography of all their material was released through IFB Records in 2006 which also saw their Reunion Show which i still kick myself to this day for missing. Carlisle is one of the few bands that makes me proud of being from Florida, they played really heart filled music and one can tell they were all the best of friends doing something they loved. I don't think i'll ever regret my Carlisle tattoo. Members went on to be in Madison, In Arcadia, Peterbuilt, As Friends Rust, Salem, Reversal of Man, How Dare You, This Destorys & some more. The Discography includes 8 new recorded songs, the self titled 7" , the Functions of Several Variables 7", all their Compilation tracks & some unreleased 4 track recordings.

Carlisle was:
Ryan Dahlberg - Vocals
Zach Swain - Drums
Roger Painter - Bass
Brian Hanson - Guitar
Joe Enos - Guitar (1st era)
Gregg Blachstein - Guitar (2nd era)
Andy Strickland - Guitar (3rd era)

Deers!

Deers! from Sacramento California were formed in 2008 I believe. They are a chaotic/melodic screamo band that are known for their high pitched screams. All 3 members share vocal duties (I think the drummer sits out on this live though). Everything they have released so far is of very limited numbers. That's about all I know of the band, It's definitely for fans of that 90's style of emotional screamo.

Deers! are:
chris - drums/vocals
jeff - guitar/vocals
ryan - bass/vocals

I Have Dreams

I Have Dreams - 3 days 'Til Christmas. This band is one I feel would fit into the area of being a life changing band for the listener. I Have Dreams was an amazing screamo band from Tally Florida that only lasted from 1998-1999 (roughly six months) but made a big impact in the scene. They formed after the death of one of their best friends (who also was a band-mate in the previous band New Ethic.) all of the songs on here deal with his passing. After I Have Dreams broke up most members went on to be in "A New Kind of American Saint". This band means the world to me, there's a lot of bands that have had a high place in my life but none will ever be as high as this one.

New Ethic - Summer Demo ‘98 this was the band before I Have Dreams, they were an up-an-coming band in 1998 until tragedy struck as the band was on their way to play an out of town show, & a car crash claimed the life of member Daniel. After his passing New Ethic played one final show and soon after I Have Dreams started up. Both of these recordings are great to have in your collection.

IHD was:
Allen Compton - vocals
Mike Peters - vocals
Mike Hanson - guitar
Ben Seals - bass
Clayton Rychlick - drums.
