12 Tone System

12 Tone System were a New-Wave Punk band from Philadelphia formed in 1996 I believe that mixed vintage synthesizers with fluid pop sounds. I'm pretty happy to be sharing this post, as that I've been trying to track this stuff down for a few years now. I found the demo tape being sold by the dudes from Deathwish Inc on an ebay auction and then months later I found the 7" as well. Eric Wareheim and Tim Heidecker (Tom goes to the mayor, Tim & Eric awesome show great job!) were both members of this band. Eric was one of the founding members and Tim joined up later on down the line. They released a self released demo tape and an EP called "Soundtrack to Synthetic Music" on Keystone and Ember Records in 1997. I don't think anything else was released. Members of Ink & Dagger, I Am Heaven, Elements Of Need, Sola, & The Tim Heidecker Masterpiece. This is most likely the first time this has been released online to my knowledge who knows.

12TS was:
Eric Wareheim
Brandon Vallo
John Ziemba
Tim Heidecker
Andy Johnson (demo & ep)
Mike Parcell (after ep)

2VM

2VM is a Minimal Synth-New Wave duo from NYC USA & Canada/Germany. As a band they've released a Demo LP (not sure if it was officially released), a 7" single and had 2 songs on the Wierd Compilation. Outside of the group Marc makes music under his own name, was apart of the groups Run Stop Restore, La Folie & Raid Over Moscow and has done alot of remixes for other groups. Veronica does a lot of mixing & mastering for many other synth bands & also runs the label Minimal Wave. It's been awhile since I've posted non-hardcore so I thought I'd share this stuff.

2VM is:
Marc Houle - synthesizer
Veronica Estela Vasicka - synthesizer/vocals

Le Shok

Le Shok were a synth punk/new wave band from Long Beach, California (originally named The Shok). These were the beginning days of white belts, tight pants, perfect black hair and such. Le Shok formed in 1997 by Asshole Andrew, Joey Juvenile, and Hot Rod Todd. Around this time the guys tryed to convince Justin Pearson to become a member but he declined, & they ended up getting Darryl Licht and Over The Counter Rusty. The band released four 7" records on various labels, and in 2000, Gold Standard Laboratories released the band's sole album, We Are Electrocution, and the band went on a nationwide tour of the United States. Shitty Shaan, who had filled-in for Darryl at shows he couldn't make, was eventually brought on full-time as a second guitarist, until Darryl left the band for good and Shaan switched to keyboards. When Andrew subsequently left the band, Shaan took over guitar duties and John Fones of Tunigs was brought in on keyboards. Following their second US tour, Fones departed and Darryl briefly rejoined the band before Shaan quit, signaling the demise of the band in early 2001. Members were in or went on to be in: Treadwell, The Locust, Holy Molar, Neon King Kong, Action League, Tunigs, Nazti Skinz, The Distraction, T-Cells, FM Bats, Gods Iron Tooth, The Death Drug, I'm Going To Stab You, Strictly Ballroom & Dirty Girls
