The Emotron

The Emotron is a one-man synth band from Georgia (sometimes Philly) formed in 2004. Sole member Kyle started the project after leaving his previous band when he wanted to pursue a solo career making music influenced by Atom & his Package and GG Allin. Live he performs original material in a karaoke-esque style, using a Yamaha QY700 sequencer among other instruments. If you have an open mind, then you will find this stuff to be pretty fun. His live shows have consisted of full outfits that as the songs went by became less and less til he was left in his underwear, his penis being set on fire, to using TV's and other knick-knacks while he wears a suit that looks like a collection of tumors & other stuff as well. The Emotron has had a soft spot in a good number of friends and my heart for a long time now. For download is everything he has released including his super short lived side project Nightmare Pizza which was songs by Lee Satterfield and Kyle on a demo keyboard during their time in his old band Treephort. Kyle was also a part of the other bands: Treephort, Nightmare Pizza, Mose Giganticus(live), & Math The Band(live).

"I'm an artist and musician and I have been pro-piracy all of my internet life.
I hope my discography will always be able to be downloaded for free & shit."

Nepenthe (cali)

Nepenthe is a noisy black metal side project of certain bands from California formed in 2011. Rough blown out lo-fi black metal mixed with synth interludes. This is not to be confused with the band from the 90's that later changed their name to Ligeia. They disappeared as soon as they had arrived with only a self-released 8 song demo tape limited to a mere 30 copies that quickly sold out. There was suppose to be a 2nd tape called "turn to dust" but so far a psychical copy has yet to see the light of day minus a few songs from the bandcamp page that is included in the download.

2VM

2VM is a Minimal Synth-New Wave duo from NYC USA & Canada/Germany. As a band they've released a Demo LP (not sure if it was officially released), a 7" single and had 2 songs on the Wierd Compilation. Outside of the group Marc makes music under his own name, was apart of the groups Run Stop Restore, La Folie & Raid Over Moscow and has done alot of remixes for other groups. Veronica does a lot of mixing & mastering for many other synth bands & also runs the label Minimal Wave. It's been awhile since I've posted non-hardcore so I thought I'd share this stuff.

2VM is:
Marc Houle - synthesizer
Veronica Estela Vasicka - synthesizer/vocals

Le Shok

Le Shok were a synth punk/new wave band from Long Beach, California (originally named The Shok). These were the beginning days of white belts, tight pants, perfect black hair and such. Le Shok formed in 1997 by Asshole Andrew, Joey Juvenile, and Hot Rod Todd. Around this time the guys tryed to convince Justin Pearson to become a member but he declined, & they ended up getting Darryl Licht and Over The Counter Rusty. The band released four 7" records on various labels, and in 2000, Gold Standard Laboratories released the band's sole album, We Are Electrocution, and the band went on a nationwide tour of the United States. Shitty Shaan, who had filled-in for Darryl at shows he couldn't make, was eventually brought on full-time as a second guitarist, until Darryl left the band for good and Shaan switched to keyboards. When Andrew subsequently left the band, Shaan took over guitar duties and John Fones of Tunigs was brought in on keyboards. Following their second US tour, Fones departed and Darryl briefly rejoined the band before Shaan quit, signaling the demise of the band in early 2001. Members were in or went on to be in: Treadwell, The Locust, Holy Molar, Neon King Kong, Action League, Tunigs, Nazti Skinz, The Distraction, T-Cells, FM Bats, Gods Iron Tooth, The Death Drug, I'm Going To Stab You, Strictly Ballroom & Dirty Girls
